Peace in Chaos

This may be a very short post. Although, there really is a lot going on. All the missionaries were transferred safely out of Guyana.  We had Zone Conference on Thursday which is always wonderful!
Friday, The Lehmans arrived and they got set up in the apartment.

Saturday we had a mission wide Zoom meeting to talk about how to make it through this situation. It was decided that all the missionaries would get a 3 week supply of food to keep and replenish in their apartments, which the mission paid for. Also, the Bairds are rock stars! The responsibility they have normally is huge and then you add all of this on top of it.

We took the two sister missionaries serving here shopping and they got a ton of good food to have on hand in case they aren't able to get out for a while to shop. It's a good feeling to know that all the missionaries are prepared in that way. We got some food storage for this apartment as well.
Sunday without church was honestly pretty amazing. The Sisters had ask if Elder Weeks would come and administer the Sacrament for them, so we did that in the morning and it was such a tender and sweet time. We feel so grateful to have living Prophets on the earth that have prepared us and orchestrated the new programs to make this situation flow so effortlessly.
The Bairds had invited us and the Lehmans to their home to take the Sacrament in the late afternoon and then have dinner after. That also was a wonderful time. We then had a Come Follow Me discussion and ate and played games. They, along with the Lehmans are very enjoyable company.

Monday we started the training with the Lehmans. They are very willing, capable and pleasant so I think this will go well.
We get messages through out the day that this or that country has closed down it's airport so it's been a scramble to move missionaries around before no one is allowed to come in or out. We have 4 missionaries returning home this week so that is a little nerve wracking as well, hoping that nothing will prevent them from getting home. We can only do what we can and then we have to let go and "Let God" that is the only way to have peace in chaos.

Zone Conference.
The couple on the far left are high school friends of Pres. Baird's here for a visit.
